Welcome to The Photography Club of Cape May
We are glad you found us and hope you find the information on these pages helpful and that you will be joining us in person!
PCCM is growing, and we’re excited to continue strengthening our Club with the support of dedicated volunteers. Getting involved is a great way to learn new skills, build connections, and contribute to our community.
We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with:
- Meeting setup - assist with setup of workshops, greet members and guests, provide name tags, organize church after meeting with others. You can work as a team with another member/friend. Services needed for approximately 1 ½ hours monthly.
- Social Committee -coordinate/bring snacks for workshops (cost covered by PCCM) event planning, and holiday coordination. PCCM typically hosts one or two events a year. This is great to work with friends on a team. Services needed for approximately a ½ hour per month at workshops, setting out and cleaning up and 3 - 4 hour for social event planning.
- Technical assistance - support in-person Club presentations as needed, including setting up projectors or computers for workshops. If needed, assist members in preparing a presentation for a club event.
- Facebook Administrator - manage the Facebook page, which includes monitoring member requests, update photo PCCM photo and create and post monthly challenges. This involves less than 1 hour a week.
If you’re interested in sharing your time and talents, we’d be happy to hear from you. Just reach out to Diane or a PCCM Board member.
We are an active group who focuses on learning and helping each other learn through our activities. There is no competition within the group, just fun. PCCM has much to offer to photographers of all levels. The club has a Zoom meeting with a guest speaker monthly and meets in person at the Cape May Lutheran Church on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Members Sharing or Through the Lens is scheduled for the third Thursday of the month. The club takes field trips as well as walks/visits to local places of interest where we have opportunities to take lots of photographs. PCCM also hosts a Facebook page for members only, with a monthly photography challenge.
The annual membership fee for PCCM is $30/person and $50/family.
